Work dress from neck down with rib-pattern in Line and Mandarin Petit. You can use yarn alternative to Mandarin Petit.
Begin to cast on sts for the back, and work back and forth with inc for armholes. Knit up sts for each side of front, and work sides separately with inc for neck, until joining the two sides to one front. Inc sts for armholes before joining back and front. Cont garment in rnds until full length. Turn garment inside out and work neckband. Work crocheted edging at armhole for a stable edge. Work dress with double yarn = 1 strand Line + 1 strand Mandarin Petit. The rib-pattern “grows” in use. It is advisable to work dress a little shorter than you want it. For suitable shape, wash dress, place it flat, shape according to given measurements and let it dry.
